Dalian Process R&D and Analytical Services Facility
Location: City of Dalian, China.
Kingchem’s largest research & development center is located in Dalian (China) and provides integrated and cost-effective process R&D services including design of practical synthesis, improving existing chemistry, and developing commercial process. The facility has recently completed another expansion and now totals 35,000 ft2.
Kingchem now operates 125 research hoods and 30 walk-in hoods. Our kilo lab facilities include 50-L and 20 L reactors, thin-film evaporator, fractional distillation equipment, glove box, centrifuge and Buchi rotary evaporator. This allows us to rapidly scale up lab process to produce advanced intermediates in kilogram scale.
Our analytical group uses advanced analytical instrumentation such as 400 MHz NMR, LC-MS, GC-MS, HPLC, GC, DSC, RSD and UV for product development, impurity identification, in-process control, and product testing and release. Instruments such as EasyMax for process optimization (Calorimetric modular for thermal evaluations like RC1) and RSD (Thermal Hazard Technology) for process safety tests are used by our safety evaluation lab as well. Our 60-member team of process-development chemists and engineers at Dalian excels at synthesizing advanced intermediates, and developing commercial processes to be run at Kingchem’s in-house manufacturing facility in Liaoning. Typically, staff from the Dalian R&D facility travel to our Fuxin, Liaoning production facility to ensure the chemistry transfers smoothly.
