Elso obtained his PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio followed by Postdoctoral studies at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. For the past 30 years, Elso has worked in the chemical industry, with more than 25 years in API manufacturing. He held positions of increasing responsibility with PharmaCore, Avista Pharma Solutions/Cambrex and AMPAC Fine Chemicals (SK pharmteco). These roles involved building teams to work in API process development, Validation and Commercial Production, at bench, pilot plant and commercial scales. Immediately prior to joining Kingchem, Elso was the Head of Operations with oversight for all AMPAC API production in Petersburg, VA.
